I didn't look hard enough at the track or consider enough lines I just stuck to the ones I found from first practice. After qualifying Browny told me there's loads of lines you're not doing that the others are doing, so I switched it up a lot. Having such a close margin is good - it tells me it's time to think about it more - it can be hard to stay motivated after a long time winning - Rachel Atherton - Trek The vibe with Tahnee is pretty competitive... I guess it's a rivalry and she just wants to beat me and I just want her to not ha! Once she does we'll probably hang out more because it will be like 'ah thank god that's over!'. She thinks she's being witty, but she's just being a massive douche. As for Gwinn, you could see that he was genuinely stoked for Hart. I reckon whatever arrogance (perceived or real) there was, it's fast melting away. Weird also how he's copping less hate now that he's on a more "roots" brand and no longer on Satan's brand of choice...

But yeah - it seems as if his humility has taken a massive uptick. Maybe it was the talks with Martin Whitley last year that did the trick. Maybe it's something else entirely. But I personally think he had to swallow his ego when negotiating the YT Mob deal. But Danny's run... joh joh joh. The way his rear wheel was squirreling on that slightly off camber left hander before the bridge jump... Looked DAMN fast.

To be honest the race was pretty boring for me, but Hart's run was bevok. All over the show and still fast. As for the boring part I think the footage was a bit limited. They should've shown more of that rock garden and root nests instead of berm berm berm berm.

Lucky for us, Gee isn't anywhere near the top of the podium, so we don't have to listen to him stroke his own ego. Gwin seems very chilled this year. He didn't sulk when Hart took 1st and seemed genuinely impressed and happy for Hart. Hart's run was brilliant. Drifting all over the place.

Not too shabby in general for someone suffering the affliction you described No but seriously, his EWS resutl shows he's fit as f*ck, but I'm just not sure whether his prepration regime goes beyond riding mountain bikes a lot. Never see anything on him in a gym or on a road bike. Then again, I'm just speculating and flip, it's like 9 seconds from his current finishes to winning. So maybe it's just not his year. Stevie Smith was in a similar (not exactly) position and suddenlt just smashed back on to podiums
