At some point Bert will go on a attack from far out. Cause that's what he does.. all in and give it his best shot. He wants podium at the very least.

Agreed, He's far from done.

He could also take some time in the ITT against Chavez and Valverde.

Speaking of Chavez, you have to admire the kid.

Today's pain cave

Basque country - a special place for many cyclists

The Finish: El Vivero is 4.2km at 8.5% and climbed twice as the race laps a compact circuit around Bilbao before a flat run to the city.

Yip Gen

More than a bike's length or thereabouts constitutes a gap in the bunch, group or peloton

It's a guideline rather than a definite measurement

Thus,

It's obvious that they crossed the line together and that Froome Dawg didn't actually drop The Condor

Crossed the line together??

You should have gone to spec savers

Hard to tell from this pic, but the gap was more or less a bike lenght.. therefore same time...

There's no mention of a bike length in the timekeeper's rules - it's a 1s gap between the front person's back wheel and the next person's front wheel.

Go back one page - I posted a copy of the UCI handbook for timekeepers, as well as a copy of the page.

Rule says times are rounded down, and 1s constitutes a gap.

Aha.. more clarity.

Dankie, I didn't see the time keepers rules on the previous page.

Edit again..

Saw it now.. thx for that, so we need to start counting in one potatoes [emoji6]

You will notice that the time gap to the 15th rider is not one second from the last person's wheel, but 2 seconds from the group's time.

It get's a little complicated in that you always work on the first wheel over the line, and then add real time gaps to the next riders that are more than one second behind the rider in front of them.

Why?

Because he looks like a retard doing it. (not just on this stage but on easier finishes also)

People moan about him and say he is boring

Its been a long time since that statement was made by someone. His team and their tactics during the tour is, its like watching paint dry and YOU know it.

Please don't selectively quote.
