Difficult to tell what happened. The part fender looks like that of an Etios - the right side. Maybe it and the alleged double cab was in an accident together with the bike. Who knows?

Just read the story on the news now , Very sad indeed . The pictures I saw indicates to Me that it is clear that the Cyclist was knocked down in the Yellow lane , The Culprit was clearly not looking at the road ,probably texting ,Hope They catch Him and put Him behind bars ASAP , Strongs to Our fellow Cyclist . New evidence. Seems that that is an "old bumper that's been there for a while" (although I have never seen it before) and that an eyewitness says it was a white double cab.

Don't get your hopes up.  I was involved in a hit and run where the bumper and NUMBER PLATE remained behind.  Driver was obviously intoxicated as he was REVERSING up the road at high speed and in the wrong lane.

 

SAPS did sweet f@ck-all, despite much pressure: "we could see the damaged vehicle from the roadside but we could not gain access to the property to speak to the owner".

Sorry I feel you pain, but what happened sounds about right. SAPS Law Enforcement, are totally useless.

Was shot at by drunk driver (Road rage), whole rear window taken out so thats seen as attempted murder. Gave the cops the registration, full description of the bakkie every thing they need to get the oke.... I even manage to track the vehicle down myself.

Yeah, I have a few cases without results years later. Also have/had all evidence etc but to no avail. SAPS asked me what am I gonna do?? they didnt even bother to investigate
