HappyMartin Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Why they even bother putting up barriers to keep the crowd back?In case a camel wanders onto the course I suppose

'Dale Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 “The rider who can manage his body, who can ride into the laps with freshness, they will have a chance to win,” Boonen said. “I think a lot of riders will arrive for the final laps, but I do not think a lot of them will be fresh. The heat will be brutal.” Read more at http://velonews.competitor.com/2016/10/news/boonen-on-worlds-the-heat-will-be-brutal_422928#eI2QQHMrCgzXVH5q.99
Pah Bear Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 The heat was brutal with guys just stopping along the way from exhaustion. Tough race. Wow.
Pah Bear Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 And ... the feeding station had crashes on practically every lap. Still can't believe that's the best they could come up with. For one, the area was so small that all the soigneurs were on top of each other. Even saw one in the ladies event (throwing) the bottle at the rider!!!

Don't think they tried that again. Even the commentator said "I am not sure that's the best way to get a bottle to the rider" Sent from my LG-H735 using Tapatalk

Late attack at 500m to go.. they couldn't catch him.. I also reckon Boonen may go on a late attack.. Going to be interesting.
