Or maybe going to fast without having a clear view of the road ahead ?LOL Remember in general us MTB dudes don't warn people about things in the road etc cause we know the chap on our back wheel loves a surprise as much as the next chap !!

It always helps to survey the course first i.e. slowly ride around and check out the tricky bits first, then do a second lap and stop at whatever sections worry you, visualise how you will ride through /over / down the section and then do it. DON?T spend to much time thinking about it otherwise you will probably physch yourself out.

That?s ok for XC type Lap courses, trick is what to do on long one lap courses that you don?t ride before the race, like a marathon course.. There it pays to look far ahead and to go for it.

Ja and then he still has the cheek to nearly ride over me as I lay helpless and clinging to life in the middle of the road. Wink

Please note I was in front of him at that stage. Big%20smile

IanJ! What on earth happened!!!

And I can believe that dirt rider would send you ahead to take all the falls, or was it just your superior fitness from all that road riding?!

Now I'm throwing the fox in with the chickens!

ian, he most probably just didn't recognise you lying there - we're all getting used to the rear-view-only of the joneses so we're forgetting what you look like from any other angle! Wink
