Edge 520 and Strava live segments

Hi,

So I can sync Strava segments to my Edge 520 by starring them on Strava

BUT

How do I stop Strava from also syncing a whole bunch of popular segments to my device at the same time?

I know I can disable them on the Edge but it's a bit of a schlep.

Anyone know how to turn this annoying little "feature" off?

Well I've trawled the site - somewhere in one of the Strava help docs it says it can be turned off on the starred segment page but .... I don't see it.

Thanks Typhoon - that's where the starred segments are - I can find that page - I just can't find the checkbox that tells Strava not to send it's idea of popular segments through to the Garmin along with my starred segments.

Right there at the top right...?

Wow that's interesting - I see the page but that little blue box with the checkbox which is EXACTLY what I'm looking, for isn't there.

I've logged it with Strava support.

Thanks for taking the time Typhoon!

Thor - this is for when you and the girls have gone charging far ahead while cheerfully calling over your shoulder that "It's a nice little hill this ... not too bad .... it flattens out after the 13th switchback".

I need some motivation to keep pedaling all those milkshakes and lasagnes up whatever incline I'm on. I'd like to be able to say to myself "OK you may be 2564th on this segment but you're only 2 seconds behind the best time you did last week."

I hear you but I still eventually turned live segments off altogether....over time it started annoying the sh*t out of me.

4 words. Drop Off Of Death! :)

You will get there if your rate of improvement is maintained. You don't need a back-seat rider! :)

Oh that drop off was so cool! Don't have a problem with the downs so much.

I also don't have that tick box anymore........maybe a "Premium" feature?

I am a premium member at the moment. Maybe they withdrew the option? It's most frustrating to be manually deleting all the extra segments I don't want.

Now that's interesting that you see it. Maybe it's a browser issue although I've tried chrome and Edge.

I've submitted a support ticket so should have an answer in 24 hours.

I'm a Premium member, and I do find the box on the page
