Best Helmet to deal with sweat

Talking GREAT HELMETS that (according to Dick) all does the same thing, I sweat heavy, like rivers dripping straight down the centre of my face. Being completely bald don't really help with the dissipation either.

 

So ... question is this. I've got a Giro Aeon and definitely cannot keep sweat from running down my face. Even using a sweat band only provide temporary aid.

 

Anyone have an opinion on which helmet (make and model or design) deals best with keeping sweat out of your face?

Except for perhaps a bit of improved ventilation with some helmets, I don't think any would make a big difference to your problem

By sweat band do you mean a material head band thing? Have you tried those Silicone forehead gutter things?

Have a look at the MET range of helmets, they have a gel brow pad which might help. I found a buff helps too.

Been feeling that way for a long time. LOL

 

Have a positive though. Guys don't like sitting in my slip. They get wet.

Main issue I find with the Giro Aeon is the groove in the design of the polyurethane in the center of the forehead section. The groove right in the middle, with the pads also breaking along the same line provide a perfect outlet for sweat, right in the middle of one's face.

I have never tried the gutter but I can't imagine how sweat would get passed it. Maybe most of the sweat is actually coming from your forehead?

i have the same problem,cant even wear glasses it gets so wet i cant see throught them.The Gutter only works till it gets full and then is streams down the side of my face.

Also a prolific sweater with little hair up top, buff works for a while until it is saturated (still use mine though, just to keep the sun off my noggin). Grow thicker eyebrows ??

Have you tried one of theses? Also wipe Vaseline on your eyebrows. I can't see different helmets make much difference to problem of sweating.

Not really. As soon as the gutter is filled, it doesn't drain effectively enough so water just pass over it.

I'd think that a buff is your best option.

Used to use the Vaseline trick in running, makes the sweat run down the side of your face instead of into your eyes.
