[/quote']And the point of forum moderation is to apply a reasonable middle ground - not to side with one view point or another - even if your point of view leans heavily in one direction. But then again none of us perfect - not even the moderators I agree that Chris' point cannot be construed as anything offensive but also agree it is sure to raise some tension.

Part of the problem with a forum like The Hub is that there are people of varying intellects sharing thoughts and ideas. Sometimes some of us are too clever for our own good... I'm often guilty of this. I could have stated the obvious but chose instead to make a statement that I knew might be contentious. It's a pity I also have to think of and for the ignorant masses who might misconstrue what I say...

If you say you are making a new bike with a 300mm crank a 1000 hubbers will tell you you are crazy. Mention that you worship the Toad in your swimming pool, and its a special case, no-one is allowed to snigger, let alone say you are crazy.

I would rather live believing that there is a God and die to find out that there is no God than live believing that there is no God only to die and find out that there is one. Let us say that the Bible is just a book written by a bunch of men and really has no substance to the world that we live in. It still contains a heck of a lot of good pointers in the way in which you should live your life. Eg The Ten Commandments. Offhand I cannot think of any country in the world that does not base their laws on these commandments. So really keeping a long story short, you may not believe in Christ or the bible but it certainly has contributed something towards your life. And yes Chris I am with you that nothing should be forced down your throat. The Christians will tell you that that is why God gave you the ability to reason and make your own choices, the athiests will tell you that you got this ability via evolution. So untill death comes upon us we will debate this with different viewpoints but when death is upon us we will find out for sure. There is just no ways that this can all be pointless so I stick with my comment about God as per above.

Evolutionists would tell me I got the ability to reason via evolution.
