Spot on!...Thx. I'm against paying PRO's and preferential treatment but wants to hear from the mouth of the crowd that's feeding the MTB scene in our country.

Ja, dont pay them PRO's, rather give entries to weekend warrior teams on the hub. Something a cathcy name, cool instagram and twitter.. Maybe even a few blogs...

Hoes you calling a wannabee? Everybody is a pro come race day! Just look at all the fully kitted Spez riders in batch J on that 120k Epic.

Luckily I am not a pro cause I don't wear shades... ;)

Aaah, those from the church of Spaz

A very special bunch of worshippers

Why does it bring you joy in cycling better than somebody who has more money than you?

Surely you should rather be happy that they have made a success of their life and can afford nice things?

I have absolutely no issue with people who made a success for themselves and can afford expensive bikes. I just think it is rather exessive if you spend so much on equipment and bikes, but you are not fit enough to warrant it. I personally know people like this. They spend all their money on their bikes, brag about it on every social media platform, yet come race day they are trailing behind. I can probably also bite the bullet and spend all my savings on a bike, but I, personally, feel it is unecessary. I mean hell, I rode with tekkies for almost a year before I decided I should probably get cycling shoes.

You need those people in the world, so when the new E-tap, Eagle, Di4 comes out, us mortals can pick up a 1 year old, slowly ridden R120k bike for R45K.

Somebody needs to buy them.

Be lekker.

Those are the two words you should focus on.

was going to like this... then you had to go all Spez ...  tsk tsk

Nope, pro's don't influence my choice. All about the route/area especially if I can't ride that route without entering an event. If I am allowed to ride on a route without having to enter a race then I will rather do that. Prefer to wear my shades and ride my Spez  BIKE for fun!   :D

Fixed it....now like it!!!     Hahaha

Doesn't matter about the bike, just the smiles caused by the bike!  :D

Now that you put it this way...
