Motocycle wheels/rims and brakes as far as I know? Think they confirmed this.

 

If Nino rides a 29r now, pretty much everywhere, I think that says enough.

incorrect. Nino only rode a 29er this year because Olympic course suited it so he wanted to train accordingly the whole season (and it took a long time for them to get one that actually fits him and his style). If he moves back to his preferred 650b then you've actually given the evidence to disprove your own theory.

And in an unbelievable twist it also has a "long" stem and short bars on a triple tree fork fitted to a hardtail!!!

 

I have mentioned a few times on these here forums that a long stem equals stability in a straight line but also means cornering not so hot. :P
