“It was nice to wake up this morning in Sicily and see the pink jersey there, in my room, together with all the other things the team had prepared for me... When I put everything on to go training I felt that I’m the leader of the Giro, because I needed some time to let things sink in. Last night, I thought a lot about what we did as a team; it was really impressive and I’m sure nobody will forget the way Quick-Step Floors sparked that move and left their mark on the last Sardinian stage."

Gav', on his maglia rosa ????????

Sorry old chap; i just Google'd it. I think if i can get a couple of the guys on this forum to contribute, we might just about be able to afford the wheelbags.  :w00t:

"It'll be the first head-to-head fight, so we’ll see how I am and how my rivals are too. It’s a complicated stage to get right coming after a rest day. It’s 180km and so not short. It includes 4000m of climbing. It’s the first important step of the Giro. It’s a big day.”

Nibali, 2016 winner

Sadly I think the opposite. My gut says the GC guys will be marking each other to the end. Since it is only a few days before TJ will disappear - maybe they will let him go? (Surely nobody thinks of him as GC anymore).

Rolland and/or Zakarin more likely to make a move after losing seconds in the earlier stages

It's awesome that there is a mountain top finish so early on ????????????

Had to watch something giro related last night. Very interesting in Gee's video how he talks of co leaders. In landas he doesn't even mention Thomas at all!

Landa's video was published just before the 2016 Giro, only Landa was a leader last year
