Pah Bear Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 And they're off!Lekka early.Thanx for the update. Just switched over. Whoopee.
Pah Bear Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Jakob is riding. Hope he manages to stay the course.
'Dale Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 A move of about 15-20 riders has got a sizeable gap. Hovering at the back is the green jersey of Marcel Kittel. He's on the wheel of Michael Matthews. Both of these riders are interested in the points of the green jersey competition. Others involved are Steve Cummings, Bennatti, Diego Ulissi, Jack Bauer, Nils Pollit and Thomas De Gendt. Cyclingnews
Wannabe Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Might this be Cummings' day today?See he is in the breakaway, but no real lead on the peloton yet. Only about 30secs.

Only about 30secs.I can't see him making it all the way today, but I love being proven wrong, especially if it means a Cummings win. Would have thought that he would target tomorrow... maybe gamesmanship before his real attempt tomorrow...
dev null Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Think it will be one of the GC riders today going for the win. Too much climbing in the last 50 km of the race.
Davey_Jones Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Love the revamp of the official site race center
Vetplant Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Love the revamp of the official site race centerYep, good timing to get the nice one active for today, seeing as some of us have to work while this excitement is going on.

Pah Bear Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Yep, good timing to get the nice one active for today, seeing as some of us have to work while this excitement is going on.You should retire for the time of the Tour, then extend it for the Vuelta. Or, start even earlier and begin at the time of the Giro. LOL
Pah Bear Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Admit to a degree of disappointment when I learnt that Liggett and Sherwen were not doing the commentary, nostalgia and all seeing as Phil really introduced me to Le Tour. Know the common view that they’ve been messing up rider names etc over time and was true to some degree. But now I think Keenan and McEwen is doing a dang sparkling job and admit they’ve grown on me. Enjoying the alternative view.
Imploder Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Fugslang riding with fractures in his wrist and elbow?! Today is gonna hurt like a Mofo! I hope Contador gives it a go today....Go from long range on the Port De Bales!
worriesnot Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Ha! Matthews took the intermediate sprint from Kittel! Was very close...
Vetplant Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Ha! Matthews took the intermediate sprint from Kittel! Was very close...Yep, but Kittel only 3 points behind in terms of earnings on that sprint. Kittel is going to take at least two more sprint stages, which gives him 20 points on whoever finishes 2nd and 30 points over whoever finishes 3rd... I would not be betting against Kittel taking Green in Paris. However, stranger things have happened in this Tour, so Matthews would be the obvious heir to the jersey, which is maybe why he is taking these points when he can, in case Kittel doesn't make it to Paris
