Quoted off his web site " got my self into the prefect position and coming out the last corner my rear changer cable snapped and i found myself trying to push a 54/11 while trying to launch a sprint. Not the best so i lost a few meters to Garzelli who won and i could not get on top the gear. Really weird as i dont think ive ever seen it happen before the, metal head of the cable spapped off inside the lever.. GreyOwl3.0 Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 I'm sure its happened to many of the pro's before...Campy, Sram or Shimano.I doubt its a reflection of Shimano's quality or reliability...I did notice last night while watching the Giro that loads of guys are using the new Shimano and Campy shifters...anyone else see that?
