How easily do 11 and 12 speed chains snap vs 10spd?

I went over to 11sp in May 2009.

That gives me 98,210km on 11sp chains.  Not one snapped.

I lube twice a week.  Keep the chain clean and replace after every 5000km.

Never snapped a chain in my life, neither mtb or road. Like someone here said, bad shifting technique snaps chains.

I have however had a powerlink break but that was because I used an old one with a new chain.

Added this to my cart this morning when browsing CRC, was gonna give it a go as cheaper than Ultegra. Good enough or spend more on the KMC superlight ? Weight is not an issue.

No don't bother with the super light at that price difference unless you want the gold bling!!!.

If the strength of the chain was related the  "speed" of the chain, with higher speed being weaker, we all would still be on 6-speed chains and SS-speed would last forever.

Neither  of the above is so.
