How often do we need to replace/buy new cycling shoes?

I guess my question is ?What is the life span of cycling shoes??

Depends if you buy it yourself or not.

My Northwaves are 6 years old and is still perfect for me. It's a pitty because I really want new ones.

Bored are we?  Still waiting for the new bike?

Just go for it.  Get some new shoes and make sure they are white.  That way they will be very bling and they will look like you need to replace them after a yearBig%20smile

The normal lifespan of road-cycling shoes is as follows: replace only when the same or other manufacturer releases a new, highly-p0rn0 looking pair of shoes. Wink

This can prove quite costly when after buying Shimano's latest offering one discovers that they pale in comparison next to the latest Specialized. Ouch

Alternatively you could commute and this would provide the ideal excuse for new bling shoes (people think I commute throughout the year for training, but it's actually only so I've got a valid excuse to get new stuff LOL)

Shoes tend to last quite  a long time if you buy good ones.

MTB:

Shimano SH-M225 have lasted over 7 years. (2x Cape Epic, Sani2C, and many many more.

Northwave Team MTB lasted 3 years before that.

Road:

Carnac Quartz have laste 8 years repalced them last year.

Time RAcing before that lasted 10yrs. Carbon reinforced sole. expensive initial purchase but they were stil stiff when they fell off my feet.

#7 I really had no idea you even knew how to spell Style , never mind subcribe to it !!!

Although my 6 year old Olympic MTB shoes looks like sh@t and most probably smell the same they still still works perfectly .
