Ok, I see the 2017 range changed a lot. The new sola SL have a reba fork and now is 1x11 sram. The sola 1 now have a xt crank and shifters, but the fork was downgraded to a recon. None of the bikes have ztr wheels anymore.

Jis but it is an UGLY bike, so unlike Silverback who generally have some of the prettiest bikes out there. Manufacturers should be banned from using grey as a base colour, never seen a good looking grey bike! Nice spec though, wonder how much they would pop?

I am a big guy.

1.93m 110kg.

I have had the privilege of riding almost all kinds of MTB's.

Unless you are focusing on marathon or century rides, I would focus on comfort and enjoyment.

Having played with fat bikes this year, I can highly recommend bigger volume tyres on hardtail bikes. I have just purchased a Trek Stache 5 for 23k. What a brilliant bike. Go anywhere, low maintenance hardball fun. Decent entry level spec. Lifetime warranty on the frame. SunRingle rims. All bulletproof.

My 65k dualie 29er has been gathering dust this year.

Good luck and safe cycling.

That right there  was the answer to my problem aswell. Took a break from cycling and when i decided to start again, i looked around and settled on the Trek Stache 5 and Never had so much fun riding a bike - allround can do-it-all bike !

For the fun i even entered a road race with a friend of mine and gave some of the roadies a big "skrik" on the fatty hardtail... so  yes you can also do the odd road event if you feel like it

just my 2 c

I weigh 124kg and have the Sola 1. Only had punctures and damaged my derrailieur when a branch got stuck into it. The Sola1 performs and handles wonderfully and I am so glad this was my option.

Do u have the 2016 model? and where did u bought your bike from? Thanks

As dit my geld was, n 2016.
