Made me go and google Swift bikes :thumbup: ...my Ellsworth frame snapped in half the last 20km of day 3 Wines2Whales, im the original owner still under warranty but been 2 weeks now and still emails back and forth with no firm answer as to what they intend doing! Maybe Charles and Co could go teach ASG Sports/Ellsworthbikes the value of customer service.

I have a Ultravox Ti frame and I love it!

 

Very glad to see that the relevant support is in place should I ever have a hassle - almost two years later and so far not one issue!

Thank you for your email. We did send your warranty to Ellsworth USA, this process makes some time as we only recently acquired the Ellsworth Agency for South-Africa. It is the first frameset we had to try warranty. It obviously makes it a bit of a challenge doing a warranty on a frame that we dont have any paper work for. You also dont have an invoice from the original purchase. We would however love to get you back on an Ellsworth. We can offer to pay for a all expenses paid visit to our Paarl office. We will pay for your flight, and accomodation. We also offer a 30% discount on any new Ellsworth frame you wish purchase.

 

In the mean time Wynand has sent you an email regarding the warranty, I will follow up and give you an update from Ellsworth USA. Please try find the proof of purchase, it will help the warranty claim process.

I was lucky enough to ride up next to Mark Blewett on a casual late afternoon ride a few years ago, I had no idea who he was but could see that he knew how to ride! He was on a Swift bike, I had never seen one before! I asked him about his ride and he gave me the run down about it being a local brand that they had introduced into the market, and they had just unveiled their MTB's! I was impressed with his modesty and his passion for his new products, and this has sparked my interest in the brand, but, alas, I still can't afford the luxury of a new Swift, road bike or MTB!

I was proud as punch to see the Swift bike ridden by a team in a Grand Tour, I think it was the Veulta? This shows that they can compete with the best! I am glad to hear that they offer good service and I will definitely look at buying a Swift should I one day find the means to! The Ultravox is a great looking bike that has received rave reviews, as has the Evil Twin! Hopefully one day............

Im happy to report that Hanco from ASG in Paarl has confirmed that they will honour the warranty and my frame will be replaced at no cost.  

 

Sorry for the mini hijack..but im glad my frame dispute has also been settled.

I am fortunate to have bought a Swift Ultravox TI earlier this year.

 

A truly fantastic bike. Now, if I could just find some legs to match...
