Holiday riding in Cape Town

Hey hubbers,

Not sure if it's been asked before so here goes, flame suit on.

I'll be in Cape Town for 6 days in two weeks time and intending on sampling those Cape trails that I hear so much about.

Do most trails have a day licence? Kinda pointless buying a month or annual licence for a trail I'll most likely only ride for one or two days.

Aaaaand go!

Thanks!

For Tygerberg MTB trails you can either buy a holiday licence @ R200, or the individual farms range anything from R30 - R50 per farm per day, depending where you go.  Some of the members only corridors linking the farms will be off limits for day passes though.

Helderberg has a daily permit option. Buy it at the same shop where you can buy the most awesome strawberries for cheap.

A must visit. I will be sending large people if you don't visit, armed with bats.

Welvanpas also has a daily permit option. Excellent trails, do it early in the morning. It will get hot in that valley.

Jonkershoek.  Also a daily permit. No need for anything to say about Jonkers. Just do it.

Paradyskloof, Eden forrest, G-Spot, Coetzenburg. Free. Awesome playground.

There, 4 days covered, and you have not done even half of it yet.

Table mountain Rides. require a day permit R75 or annual Activity permit .

The 9km Greenbelt stretch is free.

Tokai will only be open for riding only on the weekends...Silvermine in my opinion not worth R75 entrance fee,if its joined to the Tokai section then Ok.

the new Newlands Trail is open have a look at the site permit details are mentioned
