I was browsing the internet, when I came accross this:

post-86802-0-93015900-1481824397_thumb.jpg

"700C 23mm Width 60mm depth Clincher Carbon bicycle wheels Road Bike"3

A "used" Road Carbon wheelset for the equivalent of R278.84! And quite a few other ads of R400, R500,R600.

All seem to be used, but there were a few "new" ones for R600.

It includes free shipping to SA, and even with taxes and import duties, that'll still be cheap for wall ornaments...

Is this a scam on Ebay, or legitimate?

I mean, I'll pay that for wall ornaments, so it can't do much harm in ordering a set...

Need some hub guidance please...

If you're lucky it's a scam. You pay the money and get nothing. Worst case is they do send you wheels for R600. Make that worst case wheels for R278.84.

Heck, tell you what, let's order two wheelsets. One to ride to see how far they go and one to cut up for scientific purposes.

At that price, not for scientific purposes; for fun :P

Pay via PayPal and you're protected with eBay anyway if you want to take the gamble you'll always get your.money back. That said it stinks to high heaven and an advert with no description and a trader with no history or feedback. it was a rhetorical question, right?

"Based in China, yxq43911144 has been an eBay member since Nov 30, 2016"

This in itself makes the seller extremely dodgy....and correct he has no reviews of previous deals...

Make sure the deal has ebay buyer protection... that way you won't lose anything.... maybe just be out of pocket for a couple days until ebay completes their investigation
