Gen Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Jay had acknowledged earlier in the race the importance of collecting bonus seconds throughout the week and was thrilled with his podium position after a race calculated to perfection. “I’m super happy – we had the plan to go for the intermediate in the team meeting this morning and it worked. I have to thank the team so much – we controlled it from the start and made sure the breakaway wasn’t gone for the intermediate. Having the current World Champion, Peter Sagan, leading me out, is bloody awesome, so I’m really happy I’m on the podium.”
Gen Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Well that's a wrap for the TDU..the Aussies sure love this race with Porte and Ewan winning all the stages.. Great GC win for Porte, really hope BMC can keep it together throughout the year, would love to see Porte win a GT.

Yup I hope so as well ... but he has withered after Week 2 before when he has had the chance to lead (or just had back luck) however he should have more confidence now and is now a more mature rider. Also its good that the whos who with TJ has been sorted out (I think he is doing the Giro this year)
