Pah Bear Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Commentators are Matthew Keenan with play-by-play supported by Baden Cooke. Love their commentary too. Was a bit miffed on stage 2 when sound was muffled and road noise too high making their voices barely audible. They seem to have corrected that after.

I think its because they forget to put the muffler sock over the sound mike so it picks up all the road and surrounding noise.
Bonus Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 Nice to see Jacques Janse van Rensburg at the sharp end of the race. 21 km to go, break have 4.29 on the Peloton and 24 secs on the chasers.

GrumpyOldGuy Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 I have been marveling mostly at the incredible scenery the tour goes through, those little towns perched on the very edges of sheer cliff faces, the beautiful lakes and ancient buildings.....so much history to see. Its been a while since I was last in Spain, but even then, like most I was in the cities, I would love to spend some time out in these areas and just wonder around these beautiful ancient towns and buildings.
Bonus Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 The dining room I'm sitting in typing this was originally built 400 years ago. . . . :-)
Pure Savage Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Quick Step have one something crazy like 1/4 of all world tour races this year. Yikes!
Eugene Oppelt Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Quick Step have one something crazy like 1/4 of all world tour races this year. Yikes! That's nutzThey've been dominating the win count for many seasons now.
Eugene Oppelt Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 “I know I am not the worst descender in the peloton. I had a few scares in those hairpins, I locked up the back wheel trying to go on the inside of Froome on one of them and almost came down. It happened to me another few times on the descent. But it is part of the job. I am not a big fan of those descents to the finish, but it suited me today.” Roche, lying 2nd on GC, level with El Chavesto
Bonus Posted August 30, 2017 Author Posted August 30, 2017 Someone was saying during the Tour that NR hadn't done anything much recently.Be good to see this come to something.
