Changes to CSA medical insurance

CSA seems to have changed their membership benefit as regards automatic cover for medical expenses which was R20,000 for ANY bike riding accident.
 
I have just renewed my membership and I noticed the Hollard insurance cover is now:

RECEIVE BENEFITOF UP TO R25000 FROM HOLLARD FOR MEDICAL EXPENSES FOR AN ACCIDENT AT SANCTIONED EVENTS ONLY

 

It is important to note the new clause of sanctioned events only.  A huge reason to get ALL events that charge an entrance fee sanctioned. In the past PPA events were not sanctioned, this may have changed with the agreement reached between PPA and CSA to get the Argus sanctioned a few years ago so Cav could race.

 

In the past any accident while riding your bike was covered.

 

Pity about the change but it was a great benefit while it lasted.

I had an accident in Dec - just riding my trails, no event.  Just waiting for the final invoices before submitting.  Will see if they pay or not...
