Andrew_Smith Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 cSixx is also a very good option, some really awesome looking parts for a good price too! Thanks for the advice Grease_Monkey. Their description on the website about the chainring sounds very promising. It will be between the cSixx or Rapidé (so far opting for the Rapidé due to the price). But will rather spend a little more on something more durable if needed. Also, how can one determine you BCD? I did not see anything on my current chainring and I am guessing that it is a 104 BCD.
Andrew_Smith Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 Why on earth would you wanna buy a second hand chain ring? I usually don't mind going for secondhand components, but I think I should rather pass on getting a secondhand chainring this time around. I do understand the fact that you should rather not buy cassettes/chainrings used because it wears with the specific drivetrain and chain.

Only the latest one that has a stupid offset BCD Rapide longevity is VERY good.

They are the cheapest ones thus far! How does this compare against Rapidé?
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 50 bucks cheaper. No clue re longevity / performance.
corriekuilder Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 TBH,used chainrings are like bibs, you just don't go there. Rather get yourself a new one,bin the old one( or keep it as a spare for that one day out for a weekend...)

coppi Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Hello all, It is Friday! So I just want to know for how much I can sell my chainring for in order to get a 30T one instead. Please see the following pictures: http://i.imgur.com/rD4rVSr.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/tUV55nX.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/uaaG8Tt.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/xzeNd8Y.jpg As you can see the chain itself is still in a very good condition, except for some signs of rust here and there. Also while I am on the topic of chainrings, would you guys recommend I stay with a Race Face NW or should I try another brand? I won't mind buying 2nd hand either, as long as the chainring is in a good condition. Thanks guys. ~ Andrénobody wants you second hand chainring..........really?! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Andrew_Smith Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 50 bucks cheaper. No clue re longevity / performance. Yeah, true. Was just thinking about shipping cost, because Rapidé is suited in Johannesburg. My Message: Good day, I would like to find out if your Rapidé NW Ultralight Ring (30T) applies for free shipping with the special price? Thanks. Take care. Their Reply: Hi Andre, Thank you for your email. We have free shipping for orders over R750, the 30t NW ring ships for R499. So does it mean total cost is R499 (with shipping cost included)? EDIT: Never mind, shipping will be R57 which is really not that bad.
