Taking place on the Springbokvlakte, this is probably one of the flattest rides in the country. We have a farm in this area and I can tell you there is no such thing as a "koppie" for 50km in any direction. This shows in the elevation totals:Sondela route: 206m elevationvsEmperors(which is suppose to be very flat): 550m elevation according to my Garmin. I haven't raced this one yet, but might just do it this year as I am built for the flat stuff.

The Oom providing live entertainment by belting out some of his favourite tunes was a bit odd, in a nice way though.???? let's hope he is back as i may just put in a request ????
