The Calitzdorp MTB Classic 2017 is a brand new one day event, set in the spectacular Little Karoo on the 18^th of June 2017. This race forms part of the annual Calitzdorp Winter Festival which takes place over the long weekend of the 16^th – 18^th of June 2017.

 

The 60km route takes participants from The Calitzdorp Railway Station through the breath taking Groenfontein district, and concludes back in Calitzdorp. Multiple prizes will be up for grabs and promises to be an unforgetful experience for all avid cyclists.

 

Entries are R150.00 per person, and can be submitted until the 16^th of June 2017.

Brand new event, called a classic?

 

 

Small town event that has been run for a number of years, perhaps in a different form and starting at the Spa.  It has drawn on racers from the Garden route, Oudtshoorn area, Klein Karoo and further in the Western Cape to a cool little event.

 

It used to overlap with the Calitzdorp Port festival and probably still does. Lekker vibe. I will go down for it.

Recently rode through that area with another event, really is stunning scenery, never knew that area is so beautiful. Think 36One also goes through there?

I did a 3 day race there a few years ago. Think it was the Klein Karoo Classic. Started at the Spa. It was a great wknd
