I just feel he deserves a little more respect than been slated with names . After all for how many years has he been comming to our country to start his racing prepertation??? From what I read , he loves this country . And why should he be the only sportsman that everybody wants a DNA test from?? what about all the others ? Botero who's just been cleared??? what are the chances the test are going to be correctly done? Look at the Marian jones saga!

to me that proves the tests are'nt 100% at this point , so why even take a chance when the outcome could swing either way!!!

I no Im going to be crucified now!!!Ouch

I agree with the coments above. In fact I was lucky enough to "race" against him, Zabel and the whole Telekom team when they very kind and agreed to "race" in our weekly criterium in Somerset West a good few years back.

Of course for them it wasn't even training but they were all great and we had a good laugh.

I just wish that at some stage this whole doping affair in cycling will actually be tackled for real and that when people are caught out that they will at least have the balls to admit to it.

I would think more of him or any other athlete for admitting to having done wrong than to what is happening at the moment with him and many other (in other sports too).

Dont shoot me for this but if the dopers had to admit to it the whole TDF Peloton would go down.

maybe, but from what I've read (especially from the young riders) there isless and less tolerance for doping.

T-Mobile's new contract is extremely tight and riders first have to agree to their testing procedures before any talk to the rider's mangers begins.

I'm HOPING that this IS the start of change...........who knows.

Gianni: Isnt it like this:

We will sign you up but you need to lift your game so dope but if you get caught we want nothing to do with you if the press comes rounds.

Well, they have to agree to be tested by various test etc..

They have to agree that they can only be looked after by doctors from one place (university in Germany I think) .

Some of the tests include a blood volume test which by the sound of it will be adopted by WADA as well.

It SEEMS like they're very serious (they fired all the management and brought in new people).

The point is that the riders have to agree to be tested with whatever test the team says and at any time the team says before talks of contract even start.

I'm trying to see this as a positive thing. Hopefully it is.

Damn thieves! I was so looking forward to the it! Cry

Already bought me pink stilleto's to go with the red outfit and the "krullers".

Guess i'll now have to go cycling this weekend...LOL

nellie, just wear the pink stilletto's with the dressing gown when you go shopping - then you won't have wasted the money!

(and just remember to take the krullers out before putting your helmet on if you're going cycling!)
