This is great news. Will see more cyclists on the road....getting the word out to all motorists to join up. We need less cars around.

One can then ride from town all the way to melkies...and even into Koeberg plant (if on a mtb). Nice long training ride

I rode through there yesterday middayish, in the MyCiti lanes (thank you, bus strike) and shat myself. Never again. Would rather take my chances with the container trucks.

Certainly hope once finished, that ALL cyclists will use the path.

Fantastic yes, BUT I’m with Tim on this one......to me it is now useless as I can no longer risk the unprotected, neglected dangerous part through Woodstock and Paarden Eiland. So, no way to use it from the Southern suburbs. Massive shame.

When the cycle lane is finally done, cyclist/runners need to be very careful when approaching the entrances of Big bay beach club, La Paloma Blvd and Atlantic beach when cycling/running in direction of Melkbos. Car drivers coming out of these intersections just look right and the shoot without looking left. Be careful and happy cycling.
