But sand blasting is pretty harmless.

Sand blasting will eat a hole through just about any material, and sand blasting a frame, with thin-walled tubing is pretty risky unless you have a pro doing it. Media blasting would be a much safer option.

I can have it powder coated have a place that does aluminium canopies it's cheap to do but what I would do is get scotch bright pad get them in green and red you get the green 1 red is to rough. Brush the frame in single direction (up and down) have some stickers made and end product looks sweet! This is after its been stripped though.

Use Plascon Remove All.

Paint it on, let it rest overnight.

Use water in a bucket and a rag to wash off, not corrosive or dangerous to the skin.

For extra peace of mind, use gloves when washing it off. If necessary, it can be done more than once.

I have stripped an Alu Giant frame like this.

Ps. Do a search, there was / is a whole thread about this.

I stripped a painted handlebar with the Water Based Plascon Paint Stripper. Results/performance were great.
