Stybar is on the front as Viviani wanted. The peloton is lined out.

The trio is now racing flat out to try to stay away. They're trying to surprise the peloton but behind they're also flying thanks to a tail wind on the approach to Eilat.

Is that a tailwind or downdraught from the chopper

Amazing! One second you're being edged into the barriers, the next second you win the stage. That could have ended very differently.

Let's see what the judges say. There wasn't a crash but more by luck than by judgement.

Sam Bennett should be called out for that move. Very glad Viviani managed to stay out of trouble - could have ended very differently!

Rugby referees are more consistent at the breakdown than Race Commisairs at Grand Tours.

Sagans move in TDF was not to block but rather to follow. Bennet clearly moved across the entire roadway to try and make Viviani back out instead of playing chicken with the barriers. That could have ended very badly.

Bennet should be speaking to the media by now apologizing to his fans and sponsors for being thrown out of the Giro

Vivianni's composure to shoulder off Modolo and then chase the drunken Bennett and nudge pass him at 57 km/h after 230 kms

What a sprinter ????

Looking forward to Gens gymnastics to defend Bennet ;)

Ha ha ha.. no defence that was a page out of the Demare's sprint book..lucky not to get a penalty..should've been relegated...thought they had those video refs at these races.

PS.. only saw the sprint now now..got distrated and didn't watch the stage.
