Anybody ever look at Project One? Any idea on the costs?

There are 5 standard colours that won't cost you anything, except maybe a bit of a wait for them to import one in your size. Other fancy paint jobs will cost between R8k-R16k depending which paint you choose. All the other prices for swapping components are listed next to each, ie. R8k extra to upgrade to carbon wheels.

And I have an 810mm Funn Fatboy set of handlebars and a Funn Strippa stem in red, 45mm...that would look good on a gunmetal or black following. You okes are no freaking help...I can't buy them all....dammit

what bike do have that you need 165mm cranks ?

Stumpie 2017 with 29er and 6fattie wheels. The 6fatties ride a little lower than the 29ers and give me the striking ****s. I also tend to ride them softer for sandy trails. I really love the fattties, and bike, alot.

i had a Hightower and coz the fork was at 140 for the 9r’s it what perfect but with the fatties, omg is was pretty horrible. The fork was supposed to be at 150 with fatties ????

But constant pedal strikes can be a real f’r ???? on a ride .

Perhaps I should play around with the fork settings for the fatties instead of running the same as the '9ers. Will be cheaper than a crank set of it works

To keep aligned with the post I searched for a long while and managed to get down to 3 - Stumpie, Fuel Ex, New Scott Genius. Of course all the "boutique" bikes were drooled at; just near impossible to get test rides - YT, Evil, Yeti, Ibis etc.

So...thought I'd provide some closure on this thread...I ordered the Fuel EX 9.8 this morning will have some picks Friday or so. Hope I made the right choice. It certainly feels that way.

I was actually wondering to myself if I shouldn't have posed the question as whether or not this is a baggies bike? A knee pads and baggies bike...haha.

Thanks all your advice is and was really appreciated!

Good choice. Every bike is a baggies bike. Knee pads are optional for when you really feel like "sending it".

So here she is...my new mistress. I have been in possession since December 2017 but the riding has just been so lovely that BikeHub hasn't been important. She rides like a dream. Only switched up the bars, went for 810mm from 760mm. Raceface carbon. Bloody brilliant bike. Thanks again okes for the advice.
