But that is HIS choice.

Why do people judge this riding so quickly, when his actions can only hurt HIM?

And no one says or does anything about the people who can potentially KILL you ?

Please explain the logic to me!

The TWAT can scratch my car .... that is enough reason to hate ALL cyclists.... oops, sorry, wrong forum ....

The fitness conscious individual may accidentally cause a mark on the paint of my automobile, and that may cause me a momentary elevated heart rate, but why o why would I get angry at a fellow cyclist

because (Let's #whataboutery this one) the rider looses control, slams into your car and you have to pay to have the car repaired because he/she is dead and has left a nice dent and red splat with some skin and hair, maybe even a bit of bone or teeth on your car .........oh, and the driver has to live with the psychological scarring from the event ... hopefully there are no kids in the car at the same time either.

#just a thought on a simple assumption.

And do you act the same toward someone texting and driving? Do you report them to some forum?

Most law breakers(texting and driving), (this cyclist was not even breaking a law just being stupid) has "Stay wider of the rider" stickers on the back.

No-one comes here and reports them, saying "hey Mr Corsa bakkie driver with your S-works on the back, get off your phone"

  • there are threads highlighting the issues you have listed, take the time if you are really interested to go through the archives.

deal with the issue on this thread, not other issues not relating to the manner in which this person was conducting himself/herself

oh, by the way, the vast majority of the drivers we see texting (And we see LOTS of them everyday on our commute) do not have stay wider of the rider stickers, so your assumption is incorrect .... or was that a fact/statement based on how the sentence was structured.

Don't know why you are bringing this into the discussion (Not argument) And do you act the same toward someone texting and driving? Do you report them to some forum?

From my person perspective, our commuter group takes a more direct approach by often lambasting the drivers in traffic when on the phone ... a bit of heckling goes a long way :P

So what do you do?

I fail to see how this person conduct is any of our bussiness.

And BTW I commute and can show you the evidence of the texting people.

Also go have a look at Strava when cyclist forgets his strava on and see how many road rules are broken.

How mr Yellow bike chooses to ride has nothing to do with us.

No, his actions have everything to do with us.

Show me the evidence of the people who text and drive with the sticker on their cars, and then a survey of those doing the same without the sticker. You made a statement that MOST of the text/driving offenders have this sticker on their cars.

I in turn disagree, based on my daily observations.

So what do you do?

I have done everything I can wrt to drivers breaking the law.

Reported them to the two websites you can. #nothing happens.

Spoke to the driver in person, and nearly got run-over on purpose.

Sent emails to the traffic department.

Just double checking, google maps shows this as part of the M3, so technically it is illegal to cycle here ?

As far as I remember that is not a "Freeway" yet at that section. So you can ride there. If I have the section correct
