Christie Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Momsen has better components, but I have friends whose Momsen frames broke (1× Alu, 1x Carbon hardtail), and Momsen did not warranty either frames. After that, I would never consider a Momsen.

After that, I would never consider a Momsen.I had a paint issue with a Momsen AL129, a bit of emailing back and forth and my frame was replaced BUT it was a bike that was basically brand new....
ChrisF Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 At the "Autumn Splendour 2017" ride a husband and wife had a brand new set of colour matched his-and-hers Momsen bikes. Full suspension, carbon frames, NICE looking bikes !!! After 15km I stopped to help the lady .... carbon fibre seat-post snapped. NO, she did not fall. NO, it was not a technical ride, in fact it was at the end of the short ride done by families ..... Left a bad taste in my mouth .... ONE ride on a pricey bike and you are heading back to the bike shop to start a warantee fight .... I now use a TREK Fuel EX as my trail bike, but had GOOD experiences with my Merida. The TREK is just so much "easier" (less nervous/aggressive) to ride.
