starting my commute from Woodmead to Centurion (Eco Park) tomorrow  . 29km one way

Good luck and enjoy.  If you are planning to commute everyday from now on do not forget to immediately eat more until you settle in your routine.  Trust me.

I never stopped eating for the last 7 months I never commuted............... Now I got to work extra hard. LOL. But agree on the eating point, When I am in the middle of hard training and I do a 40 odd km commute in the mornings I chow like a horse at work.

Taking my bakkie to the panel beater today. Taking my bike with and will ride home. Anyone object to me making it a commute? It's only about 5km.

It is a commute!!

Commuting on the MTB the last couple of weeks is really killing the legs.  Got the spare spokes for the Roadbike last night so hope to fix the wheel soon as it is dry at the moment and conditions are again very good for the Road bike again.

Oh, by the way .... our group also featured in the "Huis Genoot" this week :P

Haven't read Huisgenoot in many years but great to hear that they have upped their game a bit. And maybe just maybe it will get one or 2 people thinking about the possibility of commuting by bike.

The reporter that did the article joined our group recently following one of our riders who was on RSG to talk about commuting on behalf of Open Streets Cape Town (they needed a Afrikaans speaking person on short notice).

Her mother in turn heard the interview and then contact OSCT who in turn put her in contact with our group.

She has been with us for a month now, is hooked on commuting and has shown a massive improvement in strength and bike handling skills. A good addition to our group and a fun person to be around.

FYI, the Whatsapp group is now 64 users/riders strong!
