I have spoken to a couple of stores, some sales people even told me I am looking for a size that does not exist, according to them I am looking for a 27.5x2.8 … Back to my point. I’d like to get a combo of Maxxis Forecaster/Rekon 27.5x2.6, the only thing it seems I can do for now is importing them. Are there any other tyres which might be available locally that you can refer me to which are that size? I know that Spez makes the Ground Control GRID in 27.5x2.6, anybody seen them locally yet?

They confirmed that they have stock of the Butcher in 2.6... very good news. Would have loved to have matched it with a Ground Control 2.6 at the rear. Kind of unfortunate that the importers and resellers really only make provision for the dirt roadies.

I have the Nobby Nic matched with a Rocket Ron. 27.5x2.6 and wheel diameter has grown to over 28.5 inches just as anticipated. And there still is sufficient clearance with the frame. Setup was dirt easy on Raceface ARC30’s. They have a slight bit more heft to them compared to the Onza Canis which I replaced in the rear. But compare really well with the Ibex 2.4 I have taken of in the front. Tomorrow it is testing time. UPDATE: Really impressed, they do roll really well and however the amount of grip has increased substantially.
