Were can I buy rim tape for my road bike in the Bellville area?

Or what alternative can I use.

My current rim tape is kapoet and I'm getting punctures because of this.

Sharp ends of the spoke holes leads to these punctures.

I went through the same conundrum a while ago. Wasn't happy with the state of the original strips in my rims. Looked everywhere, but you just can't seem to buy replacement strips anywhere.

After talking to a few people the consensus seems to be to tape it up with rim tape, gorilla tape or electrical tape - depending on who you talk to. I wasn't entirely happy with sticky stuff in my road rims, but eventually just bought a roll of gorilla tape and put down 3 layers - one wasn't enough. After one ride I could see the tape going into the spoke holes.

I also went over all the spoke holes and made sure there wasn't any sharp edges.

So far so good.

Shimano make a 2 in a box plastic rim tape that will happily take road pressures. Electrical tape is a no no no no - it is too flexible. Buy the real deal fit once and forget. It isn't too expensive - ask the shop to call Coolheat.

Oh and 1 tip that I would recommend: If you can, get a light coloured tape, so that you can see if your tube is pinched when pushing back the tyre bead. Black or dark coloured tape makes it very difficult, especially in low light.
