ok, so I solved the problem of the seat clamp bolt coming loose by inserting a spring washer as suggested earlier in the thread. haven't had the problem again.

Hi All .... to revive an old thread.

Does anyone have one of those bolt lying about ... local bike shops don't seem too keen to find one for me and my bolt head is close to being kaput

Hairy, won't a normal capscrew work? You can get those from any fastener supplier. If you want fancy then get a button head screw with the same thread and length.

^^^ This. Get a Stainless Steel one, be careful not to over tighten.

Instead of a spring washer use a Schnorr Safety washer, I have stock, but you will need to collect in Jo'Burg.

LOL .. please excuse my ignorance ... but Schnorr made me think snor and then this sort of image came to mind

Going to contact Dragon today and if I do not come right will follow the advise from the last few posts thanks ....... or just use cable ties and duct tape :P
