Andreas_187 Posted March 16, 2018 Share BMC has disc brakes and carries the weight penalty, 8kg vs 7.2 for rim braked Canyon. I suppose it depends if you want discs. This is what you want... You get your discs and those wheels AND it's lighter than the BMC. No comparison https://www.canyon.com/en-gb/road/ultimate/2018/ultimate-cf-slx-disc-8-0.html
Baracuda Posted March 16, 2018 Share But should one go for the Ultimate or the Endurace?
Iceman. Posted March 16, 2018 Share Definitely the Canyon! Also, it’s not such a common bike in SA. If you have one you’ll feel pretty special on that. All the best.

Sharkie 2 Posted March 16, 2018 Share I would go for the disc optionhttps://www.canyon.com/en-gb/road/ultimate/2018/ultimate-cf-slx-disc-8-0.html Another optionhttps://www.evanscycles.com/cervelo-s3-disc-ultegra-2018-road-bike-EV316545
Eugene Posted March 16, 2018 Share I can't understand why people would buy Canyon. If I was going to pay that much for a bike, I would want to walk into a bike shop, be sized properly and create a relationship with the shop knowing they are there to assist me with whatever. I would also want the peace of mind that if something goes wrong, I can walk back into the shop and be assisted. The only time I would buy online is if I was to save a wad of cash. The prices are low precisely because they cut out the dealer network They do have a very detailed online guide for measuring yourself to ensure you get the optimal size. The bike fit will have to come after delivery.
