Second time doing the 60k for this mamil - I remember suffering last time ... looking forward to seeing if there's been improvement over the last 12 months

What a tough route... Not what I expected having not riden in the area before. Challenging climbs and even more challenging descends.

Myself and about 10 other riders took a 10min hike-a-bike after missing a route marking.

Personally i had a bad day. Will be back next year.

Looking forward to all of you enjoying our beautiful valley!

awesome as always but if I could request that on the downhill single track section, the bushes be trimmed, my arms look like I wasn't attacke by a wild cat, also if a branch or bush should hook a riders handlebar he will be going down hard, for the most part it was like riding down there blind folded.

Must be one of my favourite MTB events - hard enough to feel like an accomplishment but not so stupidly impossible that Mamils weep.

Agreed some of the signposting could have been a bit better. Worth the drive.

Will go back in 2019

Tough but fun. What a ride. Took one nasty fall decending those single tracks. Please can you just trim those branches. This was a good training ride preparing for the 100miler. Those climbs, jeez. Fely like ages. Never touched my granny gear so yep im getting stronger on the climbs without walking my bike. Also took a wrong turn and had to hike with my bike looking like WTF am i? Will be back next year. Thanx to all involve bringing us such great event.

Also got lashed on the arms from those branches and bush... I thought that steep hike a bike was part of the track as I followed others doing the great trek.. But i definitely felt like I had done a dinkom MTB ride... Finished with a big smile on my dial, not sure if it was because I was still alive after some of those loose downhill sections... Great vibe at the end..

See you next year
