Sorry gents/gals

Do not know where to ask this question. My "bucket list" indicate I need to do the Sani 2 Sea sometime. See prices are coming down....

I do not understand the 3 disciplines that can be entered.

- Trail

- Race

- Adventure

This will be my 1st stage race.

Please help

Thank you kindly. Worried if I entered the "race" I would be left behind

I want to do it on my Momsen hard tail...... that will probably give me the incentive to buy a duel susp.

You would be more than fine on a hardtail

Wow, Race and Trail entries still open...

Remember the first year I did it in 2013 they opened up the Trail for the first time, basically filling all the entries from the waiting list from the other 2.

First day you will start in a batch according to your seeding. Day 2 and 3 you will start depending on what time you did the previous day.

You dont have anything to worry about, hardtail is also

Not really the same... The race is a lot more "serious" than the rest.. And a lot more pretentious. The adventure is the most chilled... Well that's how it used to be anyway. I did the first trail and 2 races...I much preferred the race despite all the showing off of bikes

BIG question... if I pull the trigger and enter, will I be able to make it fitness wise???

I do between 40-60km on weekends (all over northern Pretoria). What would  I need to do to be kind of ready?

Like Stretch said its not the same

Its different dates

Its different  people

Weather might be different

Some people are serious some people are there to just have fun.

Come to think of it, its three completely different races. Please choose carefully

It's not bad training that.  Gut feel is you'll be fine.

Day two will be the hardest with loads of climbing.  The routes are manicured so you don't have to worry too much about skill level.

I like it relaxed, more for the experience than riding against time. I do not mind the "sweeper" keeping me company. :whistling:

Trail or adventure then???
