GX 1x11 Shifter - whats the lowest spec Level brake that shares a clamp?

Hey Guys

 

So on my new-to-me Epic there is a proper mist mash of components.

 

Shimano M506 brakes, NX 1x11 shifter and GX 1 x 11 derailleur.

 

I want to go to a shifter and brakes that integrate onto one clamp - think it's called Matchmaker or Matchmaker X.

 

What's the lowest SRAM Level brake that will integrate with the GX 1x11 Shifter?

 

Is it the Level T or TL?

 

I just want to tidy up the cockpit and get all the components (apart from the Raceface cranks) a bit more matchy.

GX shifter yes!

 

As for the Level T you need this matchmaker clamp rather than the more conventional or popular one, this would probably be alot harder to find

Just get some problem solvers so you can fit the shiffter to Shimano brakes.

Not with the NX shifter, the clamp and shifter are one

Most "elegant" solution will be to keep the brakes and upgrade the shifter to a gripshift.

50/50 call cos then you have non matching grips which runs completely counter to The Rules haha.

But the gripshift grips match.... unless if you use something different.

Correct. I am running a GX shifter + Level TL brakes. Very happy with it.

Thanks for all the help guys - I will go the route of new GX shifter and TL brakes I think.

 

I have a connection from where I can get them a bit cheaper than retail as well so its a win win.

 

Also need to have my cables rereouted and tightened etc cos the rear brake cable rattles within the frame like mad.
