My rear rim is finally toast, plan on buying a Rapide 25SL to replace it. Searched the web for suitable rims and bigger brands equivalent to the 25SL all come in at double the price. Almost too good to be true.

there are enough hubbers on Rapide rims, that should they have been of poor quality, would certainly have raised red flags by now.

 

and go for the option of BRASS nipples vs alum when you re-built the wheelset

For sure going brass, tired of breaking corroded alloy nipples when truing wheels.

Another plus for Wayne. Needed a new shift cable and housing. Ordered around 3pm last Tuesday and had it in my hands by 11 the next day. All the way out in Polokwane.
