How can one check if the unit in question is still under warranty?

Garmin will almost always (in my experience) do a 'service exchange' - i.e. take it in, get them to assess it, and they will most likely sell you a new/reconditioned unit at a significant discount.

I have had numerous good experiences with this process.

Just a heads up. I have sent 2 garmin products to their repair centre for assessment. It arrived there the 3rd of August and I am still waiting. I have been emailing them but they stopped replying, I called them today, the call centre agent tells me they still busy with the 20th September units they received. I asked to speak to a manager, the agent told me the manager will tell me the same thing, I insisted to speak to a manager but apparently the manager was on a "call". I am still waiting for a call back. A few years ago when I sent a unit in, everything happened within 1 week.

Interesting thing happened.

Took a 3 month old Fenix 6S in with a dead sensor.

Unit was replaced in just over 2 weeks.

Sent back a grey 6S Solar Pro
Received a titanium bronze 7S Sapphire Solar.

Not complaining at all about the free upgrade but the colour is hideous. Why not replace with the same model?

Is Garmin HQ still in rosebank?

We have a 530 that's 10 months old and the battery has died. Not really keen on going via the retailer (extra time wasted), are we able to still go direct to them?

Merci

Sportsmans, but rosebank is on the way to the orifice so we'll stop past there

You lucky man 👍

This side of the mountain it helps to buy from suppliers that sorts this out on our behalf.
