Furbz Posted July 30, 2018 Share Those are 2 very different bikes and would depend on your type of riding? ^^^^^^^^^^^^ this - very different style bikes for very different styles of riding these guys have good advice.i have a look 586 and it is exceeding comfortable.my father feels the same about his 595 and 695. that being said. aero is the future - for racing. not sure how comfortable the bikes are, some can be harsh. And aero means zero if you are going to be sitting up or wearing kit that is not skin tight. i ride A group - i'd still take the look for the comfort. esp if its my only bike that i will be training on. foot note. both my Giant CX and mtb bikes are firm favourites. they are very comfortable and forgiving.not sure how this will compare to a Aero bike.i demo'ed a Scott Foil 15 (aero bike) - at the end of a pretty average training ride i was totally wrecked. it was so unforgiving. Breezer Posted July 30, 2018 Share I had a fuji team pro and it was the perfect balance between speed and comfort. After I crashed it I got a cervelo s3. Stiff, Fast, but hard, jumpy and bumpy. It was better after I fitted 25c tires. I never ridden a propel, but from what I heard most aero bikes do not ride comfy. If you can, take both for a spin but ride at least 80-100km per bike. lechatnoir Posted July 30, 2018 Share Those are 2 very different bikes and would depend on your type of riding? what gummi says. I'll go further to say that the Propel will force you into a tucked position (well, it does for me) and this might not suit you long term from a flexibility perspective. The Look would suit me more, but I like the Propel.
DieselnDust Posted July 30, 2018 Share LOOK 765 is an endurance bike and Giant Propel is an aero race bike Its like comparing a GIANT DEFY to the PROPEL. Stack on the LOOK will be higher so you can set up the bars to a more comfortable position. Maybe decide on what need you're trying to fulfill first and take it from there. No "I need a new bike.." isn't a helpful answer
Furbz Posted July 30, 2018 Share also keep in mind very very few people are flexible enough to slam their bars
DieselnDust Posted July 30, 2018 Share also keep in mind very very few people are flexible enough to slam their bars Ya nothing worse than an aero bike with 70mm of spacers above the headset and a Viagra charged stem
Long Wheel Base Posted July 30, 2018 Share also keep in mind very very few people are flexible enough to slam their barsThen you become flexible. If you don't slam that stem then you should not be racing..........

s14phoenix Posted July 30, 2018 Share Of the aero bikes out there the Propel is said to be one of the most comfortable. But is not as comfortable as an endurance bike. I have a propel as my only road bike and use it to train, race, coffee ride or whatever duty. The Scott Foil mentioned earlier is one of the harshest most unforgiving bikes out there. Some also fit larger volume tires to the aero bike to get more comfort.
