Saddle rail loose-ish

So the rails on my saddle, Spez Phenom Cr-Mo have started to come a bit loose at the rear. They haven't popped out of the fitting but there is definite movement. Is it something normal and that should left as is, to let the saddle be a bit flexible or is it something i could fix by putting some epoxy maybe and make the whole saddle more rigid therefore?

Either take it back for a replacement, or epoxy will work just fine... I've got the same suitable result by superglueing an old Scott saddle that a rail had popped out of...

It is a few years old already, so I don't think i can take it back...

My main concern was if it is normal to have some play where the rail meet the saddle or if it is supposed to be a rigid, solid bond

It's not supposed to be loose once it leaves the factory. So glue it to be safe

try to get something that can flex A little , even out of the factory I think saddles proabbly flex more than we think

Gorilla polyurethane adhesive works well for flex joints. It's messy as a great f##K since it expands as it cross links but those rails won't ever come out. Use sparingly

Thanks. I shall try that. I haven't decided yet if it worth getting a new saddle

Don't glue it - it needs a bit of flex but it should not really be noticable.

If you glue it it will break.
