That I don’t know. Redknapp , big Sam. A respected stalwart to get some decent results even if temporary

But I don’t know of any long term prospect in the super manager league.

That would be the same as what they did with Ole at first. just putting a plaster on an open fracture. Edited by Gen

They need some belief an a manager the players will respect. United are a mediocre side an have no prospects of a top 4 at this point.

Big club, big resources, big money , big support.

Number of managers in trouble. Ole, Silva, Poch. Think Silva will be gone first. Moyes would love to go back

Ole has zero tactics.. 11 okes on the field without any sort of game plan..no structure, no formation going forward and none in defense.

I have no idea who they could get to take over.. no idea who would want the job.. but flippen hell just start with a game plan and keep any sort of formation.. this hit and hope with the long ball is just rubbish. And someone show them how to pull off the offside trap..

Great weekend.

Liverpool extend their lead, both sets of Mancs lose and Everton drop into the relegation zone.

So much to take from last nights game. So much.. I am still smiling from ear to ear..

Sarri's tactics on points.. the subs crucial and well timed. His style of play is very demanding so much movement required off the ball..and to be able to still play that way deep into the game was great..Higuain's goal was lovely buildup play late into the game (24 passes)..We started the way Sarri has wanted us to start and finished like that.. There was a period of about 10-15min in the middle of the second half when Inter came back into the game..but then the subs came on and fresh legs as well as tactical changes turned it around again.

Would've like to have seen Ramsey play but I believe he felt slight discomfort in warm up and they decided not to risk it..which is the right call, I like how they are managing him.

Sorry for De Ligt giving away the penalty was perhaps a naive mistake.. used his arm to protect himself from a high boot and unfortunately that resulted in a handball, had he gone in with his head it would've been a free kick for us for high boot but that is just inexperience, besides that and the one time Lukaku went past him down the flank he had a very good game, Bonnuci was really good they put Lukaku under immediate pressure the moment the ball came towards him exposing that dodgy first touch of his. But they all played well, you can't give a performance like that without the entire team playing well and being disciplined with the game plan. Pjanic was instrumental, Cuadrado immense at RB. Dybala just beautiful to watch really happy he got a goal..lovely finish..(sorry that his foot was offsides in the buildup to Ronaldo's disallowed goal) .. the link up play is just beautiful to watch, players adapting really well.

Defending set pieces has improved a lot so that's great..good things to come as we improve with every game.

Edit

And a last thing.. my captain, on crutches made the trip to Milan to be with the team and support in the stands and in the dressing room.

There is def a sense of excitement around Serie A, outside of Italy as well.

United need to rebuild... nobody better than Poch for the job. Will be sad to see him go, but I think it's rapidly approaching the point of no return...

Spurs players no longer back him if I look at the effort in games - will be a very sad end, but hard to see it any other way

It seems he has done all he can there.. 5 + years is a long time in Football.

He has served them well.. but who again I ask who do you replace him with... but first you need a solution to the Eriksen problem... it is clear there won't be a contract renewal, so either the make some money off him on Jan or lose him for free at the end of the season.. you need to replaced him with a player with the same qualities..that's difficult... the the defensive aspect needs addressing.

I feel for Poch the last few years he was not able to bring in the players which would've helped in the situation you find yourself in.. the rotation of players coming in to just take over when players like Eriksen move out is so important.

Should he leave, I could actually see him coming back again in 5yrs + for a second spell.

I've no doubt he's an amazing manager, but his methods are also intense and I think it's maybe just run it's course with this squad. It just simply hasn't been freshened up enough from year to year to keep the players on their toes and even the new players this year, the 3 signings, have barely even kicked a ball... so it's just more of the same and everyone just seems to have run out of steam.

I wouldn't want him to go to Utd, because I know he would be a success

It does seem time for a fresh start though at Spurs, we still have a great squad, but far too many players seem lost and out of sorts and the league is ruthless if there isn't focus...

Rodgers would probably be my first choice to replace Poch, if we could even get him at the moment - not too many other options out there I see ticking the right boxes

This is so true.

Probably one of the most important things is keeping players motivated..if they know that there is someone waiting in the wings to take their place should their form drop then it gives them this extra motivation to improve.

It has been a good run but yes it has now become stale.. Poch however does seem to be trying to change things up a bit in the field but seems the players are not adapting to his new ideas?

I hope they are able to find something for the rest of the season.
