Hahahahaaaa... Poor guy didn’t even know what to do in celebration.... I don’t think he had any idea what to do after he scored...

That's his trademark celebration.

Another mom vs son night.. although it is a school night and son went to be before the game started.. Mom once again has bragging rights.. Desposed of Roma relatively comfortable in the Coppa game.. they had some moments of really nice play..but they do lack depth.

Buffon had an unfortunate own goal but made 2 absolute breathtaking saves. Higuain put in one hell of a shift.. good game.

I streamed my game and had the TV on the United game.. shees I donno what, how or if united can get then out this hole they are in.. but they surely can't continue like this

PS that Goal of Rodriguez was stunning.

Did not watch the game but Ole must be concerned bout his job today

Ole is a yes man and as long as what he doesnt criticize the club publicly and the share price is good his job will probably be fine.

I watched his post match interview and he said that they are still 5th. Yeah that may be but look at the log a few more results like last night and they will fine them in 14th as they are only4 point from 14th. The gap between 5th and 14th is 4 points..

Chairmen usually have a beady eye on the finances but also on the well being of the club, mood of fans etc.. Decline usually starts by accepting things as they are.

Ole is on very thin ice I reckon. Fans jeering and leaving early, lambasted in the press etc...

Poch was fired on the back of good financials.. Lil break coming up (of sorts) I think Ole will be lucky to still be at M16 0TH come mid feb.

I don't know who they would con to appoint in his place or even how they can con players to join atm..players can earn very well elsewhere too at better clubs with better management, players and coaches.

They can't seem to lock down the Bruno Fernandes sale either..

Signing for United is not as prestigious as it once was.. that is the reality there just seems to be zero plan or project. ..so how do you lure players. And no agent in their right mind should negotiate a deal for a top player without a buyout clause with them IMO... not with the state that United are in atm.

Poch jumps to mind.

But all conjecture at this point. Your post illustrates all the reasons why united have to make some drastic changes. Europa league not good enough anymore. (if they make it )

2019/20 is lost , keeping Ole any longer threatens 20/21 which in turn has a bearing on 21/22 from a champions league point, rather edge him off now.

An i say that with mixed feelings, loved Ole as a player and his mischevious smile always reminds me of a hobbit. Just not getting it done.

However, my knlowledge of football is limited, the inner workings of clubs is above my pay grade, i just like to sit in the stadium with my lad and have a pint and pie at half time.

Poch was extremely frustrated that management didn't back him with transfers (yes of course the new stadium did limit spending).Ed does not know enough about football to actually purchase the right players and hasn't exactly backed Ole with transfers or Mourinho for that matter.., over paying for Maguire is not backing a manager.. I think Poch could get a better job elsewhere IMO.

United need to appoint a Sporting Director with a good track record..Ed flying solo is a disaster and should only be giving the SD a budget and sign the cheques not deciding who to buy.. because it is clear United won't replace him.. the club still makes money and while the shareholders are still drawing lekker dividends he won't go.. but a decent Sporting Director is a must.

Paper today says Ole safe for now. Since his appointment he has lost more games than won. And he had such a winning streak at first.

Another result like the Burnley one and I think the fans will march him out of Manchester.

Next weekends games can cause quite a bit of shuffling on the log:

Leicester (Currently 3rd on the log) Vs Chelsea (4th)

United (5th) vs Wolves (7th)

Palace(11th) vs Sheffield (8th)

Spurs (6th) vs City (2nd)

Liverpool (1st) vs Saints (9th)

Burnley (13th) vs Arsenal (10th)

Pity my Saturday is already pre-booked
