How was Harrison fouled after this?  How is it possible that Miles Lewis-Skelly conceded a penalty immediately after this point?  EPL VAR is a bust, and Darren England is unrepairable.

Actually is a record. Relegated with the most games still left to play being 7. 
 

on the up side, cheaper tickets and hopefully get to see Wrexham at st Mary’s and the racecourse

It seems almost impossible but Arsenal haven't yet lost to Real Madrid in the Champions League.  I well recall the joy that night Arsenal beat them in Madrid.  RM haven't yet scored a goal against Arsenal in the CL.  I didn't know until I checked a moment ago.  Who would have thought?

Might be because Arsenal haven't spent nearly as much time in the CL in recent years as some others.  😂 

Could well be a shitshow next week, Arsenal have had that in them.  Still, RM haven't yet scored a goal against them.

I was watching the Arsenal game with my 15 year old son, who never experienced the George Graham or Invincibles days, and during the 2nd half I turned and said to him, "in 40 years you will tell your grandkids about tonight"

 

As sad as it is that for us, this was a once in a lifetime event, it also highlights just how massive the achievement from Real is to have won this comp 15 times.

I can still remember, being slightly older than he is, about 16yo... when I watched Peter Withe score the only goal for Aston Villa vs Bayern Munich, against the odds.

Lol, at the time I was a Spurs and Villa fan - although, I still think that I chose the better team, lol... I remember Villa having Tony Morely (who set up, aka assisted the goal), Nigel Spink was their replacement keeper coming on for their first choice goalie after he was injured in the match. They also had Bremner and Mortimer.

That was pretty much my first European Cup Final that I watched with intent. Previous matches that I had watched was mainly part of coaching.

And that was more than 40years ago.... 😎

Perhaps the way they dominated and thrashed RM was a once in a lifetime event.  I can't let go of the fact that Arsenal have also beaten RM in Madrid, beaten Barcelona in Barcelona, and beaten Bayern Munich in Munich.  Also, Arsenal remain the only opponent that RM haven't ever scored a goal against.  Quite an achievement despite lots of crappy seasons (edit: ...and some lilly-livered rollover squads).

No head-to-head wins by PSG yet, three by Arsenal.  PSG looking really good though, with Luis Enrique saying that they're better without Mbappe.  Will be a fascinating matchup, if that happens.
