Sidmouth Posted November 6, 2018 Share anyone know how to change this settings , on my recorded strava rides, it records as moving time how do i change it to elapsed time, I took off the auto pause, and this makes no difference.
lechatnoir Posted November 6, 2018 Share AFAIK, elapsed vs moving are just two fields that make up the dataset - I use an Edge 520. Strava will show both (I use Elevate/Stravastix and it does), however, your average speed will be calculated using moving time, not elapsed time. Opc_danny Posted November 6, 2018 Share And also seems like when you select race in Strava, it shows your elapsed time on the interface that others can see. Sidmouth

It always shows Elapsed time on Strava and it has nothing to do with how the garmin is configured. On your Garmin, you select to see Elapsed time and Moving time. On strava click on the detail section to see total time

Jehosefat Posted November 6, 2018 Share What Opc_danny said. if you set the ride type to "Race" it uses and displays Elapsed Time as the activity time. Otherwise it will display moving time. Opc_danny
Ozzie NL Posted November 6, 2018 Share And in most races you do not stop so moving and elapsed should be the same. Only exception is portages at off road events but you can set the min speed on Garmin so auto pause does not trigger whilst slogging your bike up whatever hill it proved unridable. Maybe tell us what the problem is you;re having with moving vs elapsed time
Jehosefat Posted November 6, 2018 Share Maybe tell us what the problem is you;re having with moving vs elapsed time I assume he wants to pretend he spends more time riding than he actually does (because the coffee stops totally count as riding time!!!) Maroney 26 Posted November 7, 2018 Share Hi on my garmin 820 edge, I have the incorrect time, ahead or behind by 2hrs,which is annoying. I don't know why this occurs, maybe because of more than 1 device on garmin connect, however when I upload to strava the correct time is displayed, I've failed tried everything to correct this, especially when riding.
