Any one use this as a metric and guide?

Last week its been telling me my fitness is going down and training is unproductive.

I did taper down for RacetotheSun and then this week started back again with normal commute etc.

I'm hoping someone can advise here.
I have an Edge 520 and I have a Fenix 5, I use the Edge for my cycles and the Fenix when I run.

After each activity I can see them in Garmin Connect (mobile or web), but when I go to Performance Stats -> Training Effect, only activities from the Fenix 5 are displayed.

I am concerned that this whole idea of having a Training Effect and Training Status is useless if it isn't including my cycles.

520 doesn't calculate/contribute to "training effect"

I thought so, does that mean its excluded from the overall Training Status calculation?

Not  the case, when TrueUp is active, your Edge 520 will sync to your Fenix 5 and update your training status.

I've done this and it works.

From another forum:

To ensure that Physio TrueUp is enabled you can go in to the Garmin Connect Mobile settings. From your My Day page:

  1. Select the Forerunner 645 icon at the top
  2. Select General
  3. Toggle Physio TrueUp to on (if it isn't already)

You can also check the setting is enabled directly on the watch by doing the following:

  1. Access the Menu
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Physiological Metrics
  4. Toggle TrueUp to on

Once enabled the watch will download the last 30 days of activity data when you sync again with Garmin Connect Mobile.

it would seem that way, I have not used my 735 for a whole and only used my 520, and training status is not available

520 is not true-up compatible

Thanks, I checked and its on in both locations.

Do you then see your workouts from the other device in the training status or is it just using the data in the calculations?

On my Fenix 5, the activities recorded on the Edge 520 will show in the history, with a note "Source: Edge 520"

Training load and status is then updated after the sync of both units.

If it doesn't work yet, remove your Fenix 5 from Garmin Connect, add/pair it again. One of the option adding the "new" device will be activate TrueUp, click yes. This should work.

Garmin training Status I assume you are referring to the pop up that tells you whether your present condition is Fair, base, good excellent .. Etc?

IF so don't worry to much about that. If it says poor then have an easy ride.

All it does it relate your HR response to your average speed or power (or both) over a 5min warm up period.

You'll generally feel what its going to tell you before it tells you.

No, I mean the part where it tells you your load, VO2 Max and current status like unproductive, productive, maintaining etc

Calling on all Garmin GURUs, I use an Edge 810 with a Power meter and heart rate belt, but I can not see the zones or the times I have been in the respective zones, is there a setting I am missing of is the 810 not capable? My forerunner 235 also only give me the Aeraobic effect, is this also a Premium function?

Thanks in advance
