Visiting Clarens this long weekend - keen on riding in Golden Gate park

I'm going down to Clarens for this long weekend (21 March to Sunday 24 March) - also doing the Maluti D90 in a few weeks, and am keen on doing a couple of road rides in the reserve/from Clarens as a bit of a recce - probably Saturday and Sunday.

Anyone keen? DM me.

Hi Grogs. I'm just curious - are you going down there solely for riding?

I was there in 2017 and it looked so amazing and beautiful and perfect to suffer at!

Also try Clarens to Fouriesburg and back. Great shoulder all the way and some damn good climbing. Surrender Hill is aptly named.

Just ride some repeats of the mine shaft...and you'll be back in bed before breakfast is over! I went up it on a loaded touring bike last year...suffice to say 34x36 wasn't small enough!

See you there. Where are you staying?
